The Old Capital Veterinary Hospital began in 1988, in a small rental building in Corydon, Indiana. In 1990, Dr Towsley built the first and only stand alone Veterinary Hospital in Harrison County. Since inception, the Hospital has had an open door policy. Ask our receptionists for a tour of the facility, we would be honored to give you one. I know you will be impressed on how well equipped the hospital is and how dedicated the staff is to helping each and every patient.

Doctors Hours:  In an effort to minimize your waiting and allow us to give you and your pet our personal and undivided attention, we operate primarily by appointment.  We make every effort to see each client on time and appreciate a phone call if an appointment needs to be rescheduled.

You can call for an appointment during our normal business hours:

8:00-6:00 on Mon, Tue, Wed, and Fri.
9:00-2:00 on Saturday.

Vaccinations and Preventative Medicine:
Our hospital policy dictates that we not over-vaccinate our patients, but we do suggest vaccinations for your pet against the diseases which they are susceptible to and for which effective vaccines are available. We recommend annual physical exams as the single most important way to maintain optimum health for your pet. A problem may be discovered during the exam, where we can intervene and prevent costly treatments that could be necessary if the problem becomes serious.

Veterinary Referral Service:  Your veterinarian may refer you to our hospital for advanced surgical services or specialized diagnostic equipment.  Our policy does not allow us to perform routine veterinary procedures on a referral patient after the referral services have been performed.

 Other
Services:   We offer boarding and grooming for your pets. Charges are based on the size of your pet. We have separate boarding areas for dogs and cats.

What would we do without Matt.
He makes sure the kennels are clean, pets are fed and that they go for their morning walks.

While Matt takes care of the animals in the morning, we have a mother/daughter team that take care of them at night, unfortunately we don't have their picture at this time.

And Pat (the Office Manager) makes sure the the bills are paid, inventory is ordered and that the computers continue to run smoothly.
